Embedded systems, industrial protocols, and cloud software — built to run reliably.
I help industrial and software projects connect machines to the cloud: firmware on microcontrollers, protocol drivers that speak to real equipment, and the backend and dashboards that make the data useful.
What I do
Embedded firmware
STM32 firmware in Rust and C, including gateway devices that poll field equipment and forward data over MQTT. Built with testable drivers, not one-off code.
Industrial protocols
Modbus RTU / TCP and PLC protocol drivers, with frame-level testing against official specifications. Drivers are separated from I/O so the same code runs on microcontrollers, ARM Linux, and x86.
Cloud & SaaS backends
Device ingestion over MQTT, REST APIs, and web dashboards for monitoring and remote configuration — designed so a deployment can move to a new server by copying a directory and starting it.
Software development
Production software in Rust, Java, Go, and C, from protocol libraries and command-line tools to desktop and server applications, with documentation written for the next person who has to run it.
Selected work
- Industrial gateway (in development): a three-platform gateway — microcontroller, ARM Linux, and x86 — sharing one Rust protocol codebase, with Modbus polling, MQTT forwarding, and over-the-air updates with signed, encrypted firmware packages.
- Protocol driver libraries: a growing set of Rust drivers for common industrial protocols, each with specification-based tests and a documented scope of what is verified and what is not yet verified on real hardware.
- Cloud device platform: MQTT ingestion, device management, and monitoring dashboards for connected equipment.
Work is described by capability and verification status. Anything not yet verified on real hardware is stated as such — no claim is made beyond what has actually been tested.
